Coffee tigernut milk is not a combination that is new to many food lovers.
Some people have been making this combination for a very long time. I
had a drink recently that combined both and I was intrigued at this mix.
It still had a strong coffee flavour but the tigernut flavour came
through.
Ingredients
- 2 cups of raw tigernuts
- 1/2 cup of coconut milk
- 2 teaspoons of coffee
- 3 cups of water
- 1 teaspoon of Vanilla Essence
- 2 tablespoons of Honey
Preparation Method
- Soak tiger nuts for a few hours and with a strong blender and the three cups of water, blend the tigernuts.
- Using a sieve, pour the blended tigernut over a sieve and squeeze the juices out of the chaff.
- Sieve it multiple times till a lot of the chaff is out of the drink.
- Pour the sieved milk into a blender with the coconut milk, coffee, vanilla essence and honey and blend.
- Serve as a cool drink by either refrigerating or placing ice cubes in the glass.
